Investing in Better Service
Earlier this spring, demand for metal roofing products across Florida reached exceptionally high levels. While strong demand is certainly a positive sign for our industry, it also created capacity challenges that affected production schedules and service times throughout the market.
We know that reliability matters. Every delayed order can impact your schedule, your crews, and ultimately your reputation with your customers.
Over the past several months, our team has worked diligently to address those challenges—not with temporary fixes, but with long-term investments designed to make Tri County Metals an even stronger partner for your business.
Today, we're pleased to report that those capacity concerns have been resolved, and we're entering the second half of the year with greater capability than ever before.
Expanding Production Capacity
One of the largest investments we've made is the addition of another standing seam production line.
Standing seam roofing continues to be one of the fastest-growing segments of the metal roofing industry. By increasing dedicated manufacturing capacity for these systems, we're able to produce more material while maintaining the quality standards and lead times our customers expect.
This additional capacity helps ensure we're prepared not only for today's demand but also for future growth as more homeowners and commercial property owners choose premium metal roofing systems.
Growing Our Team
Equipment is only part of the equation.
We've also invested in people by expanding both our production and customer service teams.
Additional manufacturing personnel help us increase throughput and maintain consistent production performance, while new customer service team members improve communication, responsiveness, and overall support throughout the ordering process.
These investments allow us to better serve contractors from estimate through delivery, helping projects stay on schedule while providing the level of service you've come to expect from Tri County Metals.
Bringing Production Closer to Our Customers
Another important improvement has been the expansion of trim production capabilities to three of our eight branch locatoins.
Producing trim closer to where our customers need it improves efficiency, reduces transportation demands, and creates additional flexibility throughout our manufacturing network.
Even more exciting, we're actively working to expand these capabilities to additional locations on Florida's east and west coasts. As these projects come online, they'll further strengthen our ability to serve contractors throughout the state with greater speed and consistency.
Improving Delivery Predictability
Manufacturing is only half the journey.
Getting your materials delivered when expected is equally important.
That's why we've recently introduced a new zone delivery system designed to improve logistics efficiency and create more predictable delivery schedules across our service area.
Rather than simply reacting to daily demand, the new delivery model allows us to better optimize routes, improve truck utilization, and provide more consistent service throughout Florida.
For contractors, that means better visibility into delivery schedules and improved confidence when coordinating labor, equipment, and customer expectations.
