On February 12, 2025, we communicated information on our market and inventory position related to tariffs on steel and aluminum and how that may affect pricing.

And now, 6 weeks later, we have had the opportunity to talk with leaders involved in all aspects of the supply chain to formulate our plan on how to address direct tariff pricing impacts. The purpose of this communication is to give our valued contractor customers ample time to prepare for a price increase that will go into effect on April 21, 2025.

Unlike tariffs we experienced in 2020, thankfully, there are no supply issues whatsoever. We have had time to evaluate our current supply, pricing of inbound raw materials, and forecasting of future orders through June of this year.

Rather than issuing a blanket price increase percentage, we have been diligently evaluating all commercial accounts, the mix of products historically purchased, and forecasting of likely volumes, and any changes to product mix, to arrive at a specific price increase on an account level. By taking the time needed to approach an increase in this way, our goal is to have the most minimal financial impact possible for our valued customers.

Your Business Development Manager will be reaching out to you if they haven’t already done so to review your specific account pricing relative to this change on April 21, 2025.

We will continue to honor estimates for 30 days as is our standard policy. We do require that all orders placed be delivered within a reasonable, 30-day timeframe. Current estimates for large projects will need to be placed with deposits as required within the next 30 days.

Additionally, we hope that by giving a full 30 days’ notice, combined with our 30-day estimate price hold, our customers can potentially have 60 days to rotate pricing changes into their sales process to continue to maximize sales opportunities.

If you have not already done so, now is the time to evaluate your contracts for roofing projects to be sure you have adequate language related to escalation clauses.

We value our partnerships with our customers and understand the extent to which price changes affect your business. We are thankful for the great relationships we have forged with our customers and our suppliers.

We will continue to provide you with any new information in a timely fashion so you can plan accordingly.
